How to hold a transaction
Step 01: Select the Items from the list
In the first step, the user is required to choose the items they want to include in the transaction. This selection is made from a list of available items, which could encompass various products or services that the customer intends to purchase. Essentially, this step initiates the process by allowing the user to specify the items they wish to include in the transaction, forming the basis for the subsequent stages of the transaction.

Step 02: Click the “hold” button
Once the user has selected the items they want to include in the transaction, the next step instructs them to click the “Hold” button. This action serves to temporarily pause or hold the ongoing transaction without completing the payment process. Essentially, it allows the user to temporarily set aside the selected items, providing flexibility to potentially modify the transaction or add more items before finalizing the payment. The “Hold” button is a control feature that temporarily suspends the transaction without concluding the payment phase.

Step 03: Enter the Customer phone number
After initiating the “Hold” action, the user is directed to enter the customer’s phone number. This step is likely designed to associate the held transaction with a specific customer. By linking the transaction to a phone number, the system can easily identify and retrieve the transaction when the customer returns. This feature streamlines the process, allowing for better organization and customer service by enabling the quick retrieval of held transactions associated with a particular phone number.

Recall hold a transaction
Step 01: Go to the options
To retrieve a transaction that has been put on hold, the user is required to navigate to the options menu. This typically involves accessing a specific section or menu within the point-of-sale (POS) system. By doing so, the user can locate and access the held transactions, allowing them to resume or finalize the transaction associated with a customer’s phone number. The options menu serves as the gateway to manage and recall transactions that have been temporarily paused or held during the checkout process.

Step 02: Click on “Recall hold Invoice”
Within the options menu, the user is guided to click on the “Recall Hold Invoice” option. This specific action serves as the trigger to initiate the process of retrieving transactions that have been put on hold. By selecting this option, the system is prompted to recall and display the details of transactions that were previously held, allowing the user to resume or complete these transactions. It provides a streamlined method for accessing and managing transactions that were temporarily paused during the checkout process.

Step 03: Type the phone number of the invoice in the search bar
To streamline the process of finding a held transaction, the user is instructed to narrow down the search by typing the phone number associated with the invoice into a search bar. This action assists in identifying and locating the specific transaction linked to the entered phone number. By using the phone number as a search parameter, the system can quickly filter and display relevant transactions, making it easier for the user to find and manage the intended held transaction.

Step 04: Click the hold transaction you want
Once the user enters the phone number associated with the held transaction, a list of held transactions linked to that phone number is likely displayed. The system presents this list for the user’s convenience. The instruction then guides the user to click on the specific held transaction they wish to recall from the displayed list. This step allows the user to easily identify and select the intended held transaction for further processing or completion.

Step 05: Make the changes you want (add item, remove item…) and go the transaction process
Upon recalling the held transaction, the user is granted the flexibility to make modifications to the transaction details. This may involve adding or removing items from the initially held transaction. After implementing the necessary adjustments, the user can then proceed with the transaction process, which might include finalizing the payment. Essentially, this step allows users to review and modify the contents of a held transaction before completing the transaction, providing flexibility and ensuring accuracy in the final transaction details.
