Follow these steps to accept and manage gift cards as a payment method in your POS system:
1. Selecting Items for the Customer
- Begin by selecting the items the customer wishes to purchase in your POS system.
2. Initiate the Payment Process
- Once the items are selected, click on the ‘Pay’ option in the POS system to proceed to the payment screen.
3. Choose the Gift Card Payment Option
- In the payment options menu, select ‘Gift Card’ as the payment method.
4. Select the Physical Card Option
- Choose the ‘Physical Card’ option to specify the type of gift card the customer will use.
5. Swipe the Gift Card
- Swipe the pre-paid gift card on the credit card machine to complete the transaction.
6. Manage Gift Card Options
- To manage gift cards, go to the Options Tab in the POS system.
- Select Gift Card Options. A new tab will appear with all the relevant options for managing gift cards, including:
- Gift Card Balance Check
- Activate a Gift Card
- Deactivate a Gift Card
- Reload a Gift Card
- Issue a New Gift Card
These options allow you to easily manage the activation, balance, and other aspects of the gift cards.
